The lady in hat

It was long ago already that I was told no matter what I'd put on top of my round Russian face, I'd somehow look pretty under it. Inspired by the eccentric hats you can see at the Ascot year after year (once there was lady wearing entire bathroom on top of her hat), I put on a plastic tunel prop from our railway model, and well, it didn't look that bad at all.

Therefor hats became one of those things I'd randomly wear, even when nobody else does, simply because I like it. And the bigger the better. I have some furry (and faux furry) Russian hats to wear during the cold winter, some big straw hats for the hot summer (by the seaside mostly), and a small collection of those for all the times in between.

Not long ago my friend even called me her ''hat inspiration'', and on another occasion my hat was used as a significant prop in a short film, for which the actor wearing it even got an award.

So if you bother to dress up in glitz and glam, feel just a little bit of extra special, and if maybe you're just like me not the biggest expert in hair and make up, voila, put on a pretty hat and of you go.

This time my friend and I got to hang around Victoria and Albert museum, for which we knew have some wonderful places that you can greatly in-component in the photos. We were both getting used to our new cameras (as we both would like or previously did worked as photographers), and old building with majestic holes, ornaments, staircases and bright or dark places was perfect for experimenting with the equipment.

So more then admiring history from all around the world (that we've seen some times before already), we turned ourselves into the main exhibits.

  1. I think this is true! My face is not round, but long and angular so hats for the most part do not look that good on me. They make me look kind of manly lol. But this does indeed look great on you and love it with little white jacket!

  19. My husband always says that all hats look great on me. Maybe it does have something to do with the way our face is shaped. At any rate, I do love wearing hats. They can make any outfit look more classy and lady like.

Your outfit is stunning. I love the skirt so much...so cool it is from your grandmother. This museum is so beautiful. I would love to visit it some day. Maybe when I visit London.
