A walk trough the haze

Last month has been a haze. A blur. An intriguing mix of expectations.

The first four days after "the fall" have been especially blurred out ones, but yet somehow also the best. Throughout the roller-coaster of emotions starting with disappointment and anger, all over the confusion and hate, enhanced with some sadness, remorse and regret, came the feeling of genuine numbness and ignorance that was in a way so liberating and gave freedom to spend them the way they were. Of course with some help of substances to console.

I guess that was the reminder of the greatness of simplicity, of how little we need to feel happy. It was standing in the eye of the hurricane and finding that moment of peace before the battle, the last calm before the storm.

And what a battle it was. Taking Sun Tzu's "The art of war" made so many moments incredibly relatable. So many attack techniques used, so many strategies to be planned. Standing alone in the greatest crowd, knowing nobody can trust nobody while you had no choice but to rely on everyone. Gathering information from all sources, making sure you know the most while you knew nothing at all. Cementing the position of acknowledging who's the ally and who's the enemy, while enemies still wanted you as an ally and allies could betray you at any time.

Choosing your soldiers wisely, positioning yourself in a way from which you could orchestrate the battle but barely have to fight. Taking the hits while others were giving the punches. And that final moment when hearing that someone changed their mind sounded like a proclamation that the war has ended.

Once more was proven the difference between the paid army and the one that fights for its believes. And you chose your soldiers well, they believed in you.

Last month has been a haze. You might have not got out of it unbruised, but whatever awaits you once the skies clear up, you'll walk away unscarred.
