Trouble in my other space

Yesterday I had to take a little "work trip" to the other side of the city and while getting lost and frozen in the wilds of East London, somewhere around old docks by the Thames, I stumbled upon a beach created by the rivers low tide. We were probably somewhere halfway between City of London and Canary wharf, two places with the tallest skyscrapers, but when the last were directly visible on our left, curving of the river completely hid the others towards our right, and looking around seemed like you're ashore of the lake surrounded by the villages. We've been in one of the biggest and busiest cities, a walk away from the centre of the world, yet it felt like completely different universe, much more peaceful and tranquil indeed.

It got me thinking of how we almost live in two different worlds, not just geographically finding such contrasts around us, but in our lives as well. I was thinking about my failed job assignment, falling of which was so much fun at that very present moment, thinking of how goofing around was making me genuinely happy, yet knowing once I return back I'll have to deal with reality of consequences. It got me thinking of how taking out the most of each day, living it like it's my last right now, won't really resolve in anything positive once things go back to serious. How each laughed out loud event will sooner or later be faced with harsh reality. I thought of all my marvellous lockdown procrastination, wasted time and the fact it's leading to nowhere, at least not in the whole real world out there.

Do you ever imagine your life in a parallel universe, where everything can be exactly as perfect?

How many times you don't even feel like you belong to this world?

And what would that perfect universe be like then?

I'd be dreaming of somewhere colourful and warm, with no judgment and no prejudice. Of creativity as infinite and endless as space. To float around weightless without gravity, all your problems lifted, all your troubles sucked far away.
And of course a lot of ice cream.

  7. Your eye makeup is so pretty here! Yes, wherever I am... there has got to be ice cream! I've been craving custard from my favorite place and I haven't had chance to make the trip there yet (it isn't the closest). I wouldn't mind slipping away somewhere for a bit, this Covid year has been exhausting!

  9. I get, it's easy to float off and think what might be like if we'd made different decisions at some point or if other things hadn't happened. It's nice to take a day off from reality and try and have fun every once in a while though!

  11. I believe in parallel universes and fact that depending on our decision we "travel" from one to another.

  12. I loved the photos and your reflections!
It would be very good to be able to live in a world without discrimination, prejudice and judgment. Where we could all be who truly we are and live in peace and harmony.

  16. Such a beautiful photoshoot. I wish this was the actual world.
I often think about what will be my life if one day I took a different path but not really about a parallel universe.
